Zoë van den Brink-Lemley

On The Brink is more than just a name—it’s the living narrative of who I am. Born from my Dutch-American heritage, van den Brink, translates to: “from the center.” In the Netherlands, names are tied to places and identities. For me, it’s a reminder of where I came from and to stay rooted in the communitites that have helped shaped me. 

Alongside that identity is my lifelong reverence for wide-open spaces. Born in Bozeman, Montana, I learned early on how essential it is to be fully present in the outdoors and how important our natural landscapes are. Then, studying my undergrad in Wyoming, I discovered the profound power of community—the way shared experiences and the “cowboy spirit,” bring people together. 

At the same time, travel has shaped so much of how I see, interpret, and create in my work. I’ve wandered completely unfamiliar cities, lived out of a 60L backpack, and learned to find comfort & independance in the unknown. This balance—between deep roots and a constant curiosity—guides everything that I create.

And that’s how On The Brink came to life. At the core of every project, I draw on my heritage, personal experiences, and a deep sense of community to craft each digital identity. Every collaboration is rooted in authentic storytelling and guided by the shared vision of celebrating who you are—and where you’re headed.
